The link above takes you to a Ted talk. This Ted talk is titled How To Make A Splash In Social Media. The speaker, Alex Ohaniana of Reddit, discusses how the internet can help accomplish many different tasks due to it interactive nature.
Alex says that in 2009 a group of individuals started posting news of the Japanese government and their humpback whale campaign on Reddit. These whales were being killed and a non profit organization called Greenpeace wanted to put an end to it. Reddit allows millions of people everyday to post and share stuff instantly! This group of people was able to raise awareness by creating a logo/brand image for their "campaign" so to speak, called Mr. Splashy Pants. Several million people liked this campaign and Greenpeace was able to stop this whale killing through the interactivity of Reddit. The amount of people that saw and liked Greenpeace's posts were able to be measure on Reddit.
This is a clear example of interactivity.
